First Dr Visit

Yesterday was my first Dr. visit with the dr that will be delivering Dallyn here is Wyoming. I was VERY pleased! The guy used to be one of my X-country coach, HAHA!!!!!!! He was very attentive and even gave Jayda a lot of attention which was a big deal in my book!! We talked about some of my birth plan and he noted some of it in my file, all in all it was a great appointment! I have gained a total of 12 lbs at 31 weeks. His heart beat was great and I am measuring just a little bit off but he said that I shouldn't worry about it, he might just be really low in my pelvis. It is insane that I could have a newborn in 6 weeks (I would be a little over 37 weeks!) YIKES!

21 Hours......WE SURVIVED!!!

After Bryan's ship pulled out of the bay, we headed back home to pack up the dog and our mini cooler full of snacks for our 21 hour drive back to Wyoming. It was so great to have my dad there to help, Jayda adored him so I got to focus on getting everything we needed in the car in the right order (it's a killer to pack the fruit snacks and portable DVD player at the bottom of the pile, lol).

The first night we made it all the way to St. George, Utah. It was GORGEOUS and we went out for a Mother's Day dinner at Denny's (fancy, I know). The next morning we decided to hit Zion Park........IT WAS MARVELOUS!!!! We didn't get out because we still had about 12-13 hours of driving to still do but we drove through the park and went up the nasty, scary switch backs. I went there as a kid and it was just as awesome as I remembered it!

We got to my home town (Thermopolis Wy) around 10:30, 11pm. My mommy and sister were here waiting for us and Jayda stayed up until 12am playing with her aunt Hannah and her boyfriend! She is definitely having a great time with all of her family out here. She has little cousin's around her age and so many grandparents waiting on her hand and foot. I have been very spoiled too :)

Worst Mother's Day EVER!

I am not sure who the sadistic man is who decided that Bryan's ship should deploy on Mother's Day.........but whoever he is should be shot! He had duty the day before so we didn't have to drop him off early in the morning. We woke up and headed straight to the boat around 8am. We got to spend about 20 minutes out on the pier saying our goodbyes before they set sea and anchor. It was nice to see all of the guys in their uniforms (especially mine, hehe). I rarely see him in any kind of dress uniform so I went (a little) crazy with the pictures. There were two other wives that I knew there this time too and it really helped having other people standing there with us. They will be back in August, but it's unbelievable the amount of stuff he is going to miss this time. He will be leaving a family of three, and coming home to a family of four!

No wonder he is her hero.....

Photobucket

It's so sad to think that Jayda's hero (and mine) is leaving in a little over a week. His ship has been on stand down so he has had two days off, work one day....it's been so nice having him home. Jayda loves him more than anything in the world and she has had so much fun playing with him! They really enjoy each other more and more every day. It's so fun when he has to come in and tell me something that she did that was really cute, usually it's the other way around and I am so thankful he is getting this time with her. Every little girl needs some daddy time :)

We found out (two months ago, SORRY ) that it's a boy!! We are both beyond excited! The women in our family NEVER choose men who have boys, lol! I come from 3 girls, my mom came from two girls and one boy and my sister had all girls. I have never changed a diaper with a weiner in it though so it should be interesting! I will definitely be investing in pee-pee teepees :)

Dr. Appointment

I had my second prenatal appointment on Thursday and it went GREAT. I got to hear the heartbeat and it was so relieving! We are officially past the first trimester and into number dos! YAY!! I am starting to look a little pregnant, but only when I have to pee. My belly does a wonderful job of growing and shrinking throughout the day depending on what I eat and drink! I also got my slip to schedule my ultrasound appointment. So on the 15th of February we will *hopefully* be finding out what we are having! I am very excited. I am such a craft orientated person and i have all these great ideas to make things but I need COLORS DAMN IT!!! I can't wait!!
