There is nothing better than spending time with some of the people you love the most! My grandparents, GG and Codgy, drove the 1,400 mile trip to come and spend Thanksgiving with us. They stayed just a little under a week and we all had such a great time. Jayda had such an amazing time with GG, they are definitely two peas in a pod. They played and played and played together! And I had such a great time cooking our Thanksgiving dinner with both of them. We all ate WAY too much food, it was such a fun day full of things to be thankful for. We will sure miss them but it's so much easier knowing that we will be flying home for a few weeks at the beginning of January!!

Who's a turkey?
Yesterday we had a fun day making turkeys......and some other crafts that didn't go as well as the turkeys did, haha. These were great for Jayda's age, she had so much fun tracing her hands and glueing it all together.

SHE DID IT, SHE DID IT, YA!!
I have postponed posting this because I didn't want to jinx the roll we were on! It's safe to say now, after three weeks, that my daughter is potty trained!!!! She hasn't worn a diaper during the day in three weeks. She has been to the zoo twice, four birthday parties, one hike and many shopping exersions and only had ONE accident(in public, haha)......I am soooo proud!! She still wears a pull up at night, but if she falls asleep during the day she will still stay dry. I am just so proud, I feel like my little girl has grown-up so much in the last month. I almost don't even recognize her (especially with her new haircut!)
Tomorrow we are going to have an all day celebration for her.....she is still adjusting to having baby brother around and I feel like she needs to be celebrated and praised more than I normally get time to do during every day! I have a lot of fun stuff planned and I hope she will enjoy her "Big Girl Potty Trained" day :)
Ps. Jayda is wearing a dress someone made for me when I was her age, CRAZY!!

Another first in the life of Jayda
Well, Jayda FINALLY got her first haircut. Talk about a heart and gut wrenching day for her momma! When she was born, her hair was the one thing everyone always talked about. It was red and with the funniest mohawk ever....if you don't believe me....click HERE. We went along with some of our bestest buddies and it was such a fun morning. Jayda loved getting her hair cut and has been telling everyone and their dog about how she sat still and got a sucker.

Getting it styled :)
My pretty Baby Girl
Then we got some food and headed over to the sprinkler things...the kids had a blast!
RUN, ENEMY FIRE!

It was a great day to be had by all. It's so nice to have this "extended" family that we have come to love here in San Diego. When my baby was first born, I was so sad that so many people would miss out on all of the firsts of her life. I didn't think about all the people who WOULD get to be involved in her life and love her even though they don't have to.

HAPPY SUNDAY!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday! We sure are! Daddy has duty so we HAD to wake up at the butt crack of dawn (Jayda knew we were going to a birthday party apparently) and are just hanging out for a few hours listening to Christmas music and resisting the urge to drag out the tree!

Oh how happy you make me!
My list of things that made me happy today:
1. Waking up to both of my smiling kids in bed with me this morning
2. Watching Jayda CAREFULLY pick out her bowl to match her cup.
3. Listening to my princess sing the ABC song over and over again, it makes me so happy that she loves learning!
4. Listening to my little man talking his heart out, he has certainly found his voice!
5. Rocking my babies in my arms and reading books, and then having Jayda rub my arm and tell me "Good job Mom"
6. Playing "airplane" fifty billion times today
7. Eating on the counter so that Jayda and I could look out the window and watch the world go by
8. Being drooled on by my favorite little boy in the world
9. Getting kissed on the butt while I am making lunch....Jayda thinks it's HILARIOUS
10. Spending a day with the two people I love most in the whole world!!!

I can see clearly now....
The colic is gone! My grouchy little man has turned into the cutest little guy ever! THANK GOD!!
I'm not going to say it was easy, but it definitely taught me patience and understanding....in all of my relationships.
He is still pretty sensitive some days but for the most part is a very out going baby :)

I have been tagged by my friend Dana at TutuMonkey to tell 7 secrets about myself........hmmmmmm
1. I've been bucked off of horses more times than I can count on both of my hands
2. I pick my nose....and I know other people do too but don't ever admit it!
3. I give Jayda a sucker if she gets in the shopping cart....life is to short to fight over her staying in there! I would rather brush her teeth extra good when we get home.
4. I'm not actually a good quilter...only good at fixing mistakes so my quilts come out OK
5. I am better at driving in a snow storm than in San Diego
6. I have NO interior designer in me....my home is strictly functional
7. My late night snack (every night) is a fudge bar....and not the low fat kind :)
Okay now I need to pick 5......( I changed the rules a little bit)

Who did it?

My favorite part of the day....
Is waking up and seeing what my precious daughter will pick out to wear for the day. I love seeing how proud she is of her outfit that I let her choose all on her own. Some days they match amazingly well, others.....not so much.
She is turning into such a little person, with so much personality it blows my mind that she was once that placid baby who would just lay there and stare around at everything going on. I love being there for every stage she goes through (even the not so nice ones!!). Two is such a fun, but VERY scary, age!
