Tea with a princess

Have you ever had tea with a princess? I HAVE! This morning was the perfect morning for the kids and I to have a tea party. We (Jayda and I) got all dressed up in our best dresses (mine being my junior prom dress, haha, she picked it for me) and headed out to the yard. She had a great time, as did I! Dallyn was our royal body guard. He wasn't too interested in tea but was sure diggin the pirates booty!

(Yes, I am wearing cowboy boots with my prom dress.....Jayda dressed me)

Happy Father's Day

Bryan, thank you for the wonderful father you have turned out to be. Our children are so lucky, and so am I. Watching you become a father has been one of the greatest things I have ever done. I love you, and so do your kids.

Happy Father's Day

Half a sleep over

This was me last night. It sucked. It still sucks because I am only half way done cleaning up the mess. LOL! So instead I am here blogging about last night. Procrastination? Maybe.....but I would love to think I just have my priorities straight!
Ok, so let me set the stage for this amazing tale. Last night was a goodbye party to some wonderful friends. Bryan's ship is gone and my neighbor who usually baby sits was busy. Kelly didn't have a baby sitter either so I offered to watch her kids while she went! They were so amazingly great! Everyone was happy and went to bed really easy. At about half time I started getting the kids really excited about smoothies. We talked about what we were going to put in them and we even made up a song! They helped me pour stuff in and choose which yogurt to put in it.

Fast forward to the part where I turned the sucker on....that is when we were all splattered....and I mean SPLATTERED with smoothie. The poor kids had their hands on their ears covering them from the noise and no chance to defend themselves! My chest was covered and so the rest of the night I had gus begging to lick me because he thought I was hiding food.

It's a good thing I have a great sense of humor :) It was a pretty funny expierence that probably would have pushed me over the edge if the kids hadn't been so awesome!

Seriously....

You can stop with the death threats...I am SERIOUS about catching up this time. Sorry family! We are busy people enjoying the lovely weather and...well....I just really suck at carrying my phone and being a good blogger!

We had some playtime out on Coronado....Jayda loved this purple tree...but not as much as I do!

We decided to try out the bikes again this weekend. Dallyn cried like this until we got moving and then instantly got quiet. They both had a great time and I realized how out of shape I am. Mr. Griffin schooled me....I thought I was going to die!

Jayda got to participate in her first dodgeball game with our neighbors kids. They were all so great, no one got her hard and she was always the last one out. She had a blast. They were even patient enough to let her scoot up and try throwing.

It was a great weekend! It was weird having Bryan home for two full days.

Friday Flashback

I feel like this was 6 years ago....it's amazing how fast they turn into little kids from babies! This was actually only a year ago while we were staying with my mom waiting for Dallyn to come!

(Jayda's swimming suit is up her butt because she has it on backwards....my mom apparently didn't notice it, LOL)
