Ok...so it's been since November. YIKES. I'm working on it. My first catch up post will have to be about the fastest changing person in our family, my skye-bugger. My infant is fast working on becoming a toddler, she is changing everyday. She is our last child and I want to savor every single minute with her and celebrate every milestone. She is hitting them left and right and it is pulling on my heart strings.
Skye started army crawling in October around 6 months and then REALLY crawling right before Christmas. Boy, was it ever fun keeping her out of the presents. She LOVED ripping the paper. Right after Christmas she started pulling up and cruising, standing up on her own just started a few weeks ago. She will let go and just look around to see if we are all watching her. I love it! Although I had forgotten how much it kills your back to bend over and walk a baby around. Even though it is super exciting, I'm pretty nervous about taking 3 walking children...well...pretty much anywhere.
She has started waving hi and goodbye, and putting balls in her roll around toys. She's been trying for a while but she couldn't figure out how to let go of the ball once she got it near the hole. For two months all she was saying was "Bobobobob". Eventually she started saying "dada" and just a few weeks ago I FINALLY became MAMA!! YAY! Finally. I only carried her for 9 months, birthed her and have been her sole source of food for almost ten months but whatever :-) She also has started saying dog, although it comes out kind of like "dee dee". Her favorite toys in the house are the dog toys because when she squeaks them, the dog comes running. She is amazed by Gus, she will watch him all day. Unless he licks her...then it's over. She screams and cries until I come and pick her up. Normally though (meaning gus isn't licking her face) she is the happiest baby. She loves to just crawl around and watch everyone. I really am thankful she is such a happy little person, it makes my life so much easier and i get to enjoy her much more. I love that little turkey more than anything, it's been a blast this last 10 months watching her grow into such a fun little person.
