37 Weeks- Full Term!

I did it, we did it.......I am at full term! Here is an exerpt from one of my weekly pregnancy e-mails about little Dallyn's development.....

Congratulations! Your baby is full-term! This means that if your baby arrives now, his lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though your due date is still three weeks away. He weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long.


I turned 37 weeks on the day of my sister's wedding (see previous post!) and so here is a picture of my belly right before her wedding in my bridesmaid dress!


I have been feeling pretty good lately, especially for being almost done. I am having some good contractions and am ready to get this show on the road whenever he is ready!

And it happened to be my sister too :) On Friday, Hannah got married! I was an emotional wreck but we all had a great time! My sister, Leah, and Hannah's best friend Jen and I were the bridesmaids and Jayda and Jillian, my niece, were the flower girls. Here are some quick pictures I snapped with my camera, the nicer ones from the photographer are still being developed! We all had a great time and wish the best for my sister and new brother (whom Jayda thinks the world of! No one can compete with "Uncle Ben")

36 Weeks!!

Wow, I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone! I feel like just yesterday I had the cleanest toilet in the west because my head was ALWAYS in it! I can't believe that in a few short weeks our new baby will be here to poop and pee all over us!


For being so pregnant, I feel pretty good! I am having contractions most of the day, they range from about 8 minutes apart to about 20 minutes. I really hope i am dilated (even 2cm would be great, lol) because it would really stink for all this pain to be for nothing! I have been walking my butt off in lue of D Day. My sister's wedding is this Friday and that Saturday I will be 37 weeks so any time after that would be grand.






Other than SEVERE pelvic pressure, my only complaint is that I can't stop chewing ice. I have to have ice in my glass ALL day long and I chomp chomp chomp away! I have had my dr test my iron levels to make sure i wasn't suffering from Pica (a form of anemia where your symptoms are to eat weird things like clay, dirt or ice!). My favorite thing in the world is a full cup of crushed ice filled 1/4 way with County Time Lemonaid!!! YUM!!!!!!!!


I am hoping that Jayda has some idea of what is to come, but I don't think she does. She knows where baby brother is and LOVES to snuggle him and make sure his "window" (my shirt) is open so he can see Elmo when he is on! My grandma bought her a special baby doll with some clothes and baby acessories to give her while she is in meeting her brother for the first time. I am hoping that will go ok, her and I are going to go into town next week and pick out something for baby brother special from her. She is having such a great time with grandma and grandpa that I don't even think she will notice until we actually get back to san diego and all she has is good ol mom!

The little things...

Growing up in a small town there were definitely things that I took for granted. Now that I have had a chance to experience city life for the first time, I can't wait to move back to Wyoming for good and enjoy all those little things I took for granted.

This morning I was hanging clothes out on our line to dry and it was amazing. Just the smell brought me back to being a little girl too small to even reach the line without my trusty stool! It was so quite and peaceful, the only place I get to enjoy that is in the bathroom when I lock the doors!

We have ONE stop light in our town, and it doesn't even run 24/7. 10pm-6am it turns into a stop sign! I knew every single person's middle name in my class when I was in school.

A few days ago I got pulled over by a highway patrol (bad momma!!!) and the guy was a father of one of my friends........it's completely unheard of to get away with something bad without someone you know finding out. You also have to make sure you aren't nasty and smelly before going to the store to get something because you will know the checker, the bagger, the manager and all of the people behind and infront of you!

I had forgotten how much I loved small town life, I can't wait to be able to buy a house and become a part of the communtiy that I love and will love until the day I die. I wish I could bring all of my friends here and show them how life really should be. The only people here in a hurry or are grouches are all tourists, and the locals just laugh at them anyway. It definitely helps you slow down and enjoy the little things.

Let's talk about....

Dogs. Lots of dogs.



First, there is my foo foo dog, the Gus-man. He is having a great time running around with my mom's 6 other dogs and my sister's dog. He has become one of the pack and I adore watching them all play together.

Have you ever heard the joke from Bill Engval about "When your porch roof crashes and kills more than 4 dogs.............you might be a redneck." Well, we(my parents anyway) are rednecks! Here are a few pictures of Jayda loving a few of the dogs!

Wyoming Fun!

Jayda has been having too much fun out here in the middle of no where! Grandma and Grandpa are definitely making sure she gets to experience everything I did as a child! Every day she gets to go outside and help with chorses. Like feeding the horses and dogs, checking on all the animals. She has a great time and really enjoys it every single day!

34 Weeks!

Well, after this week the baby has a GREAT chance of survival if born.....YAY!!! I get a weekly e-mail every time I turn a week in my pregnancy and I just love knowing what size he is and how he is developing. Right now he is apparently the size of a medium pineapple and about 5 lbs. I feel that way too, haha!!! I am still feeling pretty good even though I am almost done!





One of my best friends growing up is due just a few days after I am and today she had her baby shower! Here are some pictures of her (in red) who is due on July 23rd, and my other good friend who is due October 11th!! Aren't we all too cute?

Could it be?

Well, I got an amazingling wonderful e-mail a few days ago from my husband! He just put in a request chit for leave starting on the 6 or 7th of July!!!!!!!! It hasn't been approved yet (for those of you non-military gals, it's like a request form for the boss to either approve or deny) so I am trying not to get my hopes up but it's hard to not! He would fly straight out of Panama to Wyoming and then he would need to be back in San Diego to check into a temporary spot (until the ship returns in August) on the 29th of July. My due date is the 19th so depending on when the little guy decides to make his appearance, we might be back to San Diego early! I am really hoping and praying that he gets to be here, it really meant a lot to both of us that he was there for Jayda's birth. It's one of the most important days in a parent/babies life, I hope he gets to experience it with us!

33 Weeks

One more week down, 7 more to go! I am so excited to meet my little guy! And my ribs are DEFINITELY ready for him to be here already :)
