Our Blanket Babies

One of my fondest memories of Jayda's early days was our blanket baby bashes out in Balboa Park. Almost every single mom I met there has been a big part of Jayda and I's life. One of the people who have touched my heart the most is sweet Ms Susanna and Mya. We met when Mya and Jayda couldn't even sit up, and now we are starting over again with our seconds. Jayda just adores her Mya and I hope that Dallyn and sweet Cara will have just as much fun together! These first playdates are only the begining :) And I am so excited for Dallyn to get to know all of Jayda's other Fab friends too!!

To the dr we go.....

Today we had physicals all around....Jayda and Dallyn had their first joint dr appointment today. It went great and she said that they are both perfect. She was REALLY surprised at how long Dallyn was, but now I can't even remember how long she said he actually was!! He weighs 11 lbs and 12 oz at 2 months old.....he's getting so big! He's come along way from 7lbs 1 oz. Jayda is doing great, she weighs about 23 lbs (she didn't want to stand on the scale AT ALL) and is about 35 inches tall. Both had to get shots but lucky Jayda, the dr's office ran out of what she was supposed to get. So poor Dallyn got 5 shots.......that's right......5!!!!!! Poor little guy! He also got the oral Rotovirus vaccine. He did great though barely even cried. He's such a little trooper!

Friday Flashback

Is happening on Saturday....sorry for those anal retentive people out there....I'm a day late. We have been moving and it's been crazy. Moving really effects me, I get really emotional and sentimental and find myself going through pictures I normally don't look at. Lately I have been getting sappy over my baby girl growing up. She has started taking naps without me and my heart is crushed. I know this is just one of those many times that this is going to happen so I am so glad for digital cameras so that I can have visual images of the times that she relied on me the most. I love my baby girl and I can't believe this was already two and a half years ago!

MOVING DAY!!

Well, today is it! We are moving into our new house (Which is 8 houses down the same street!! We got super lucky!). I am so excited. I will update later tonight with some pictures if I get time. I am so excited for Dallyn to finally have his own room. I got pregnant two days before we moved into this house and we didn't know it so we got a two bedroom....HA!! This time that WON'T be happening :) A few days ago they ripped out all of the carpet and floors and replaced everything, new doors....new stove and dish washer. They even painted the whole place........I love military housing!!!! It looks great and i am so excited to get our stuff in there!

Friday Flashback

This great idea was thanks to my good friend, Dana. Here is me and my dad when I was 2 1/2.....I am sure this is not the type of publicity he wanted on my blog but tough, the picture is freaking adorable. He's a great guy, I really couldn't get any luckier. Him and my grandpa have set high standards for all of the men in mine and my sister's lives!

Catch Up Thursday

Thursdays are now my designated day to catch everyone up on what Jayda, Dallyn and their crazy momma have been doing during the week.

Jayda has been reading to her brother, and making sure he can see the book VERY clearly, lol. Then Jayda wrestled a croc, saving the dinosaurs who gave her rides all over the park :) Actually, the weather has been great so in the mornings and evenings we walk to the plethora of parks around our house and play for a while. Jayda has been loving it and Dallyn does too, he falls right to sleep in his carrier. Bryan has been coming home too, which is weird for all of us. It's nice to have him home though and he tags along with us!

Finger Painting

Yesterday we went outside and finger painted all morning. Jayda had a great time getting dirty.....until she actually realized she was dirty......then we washed it all off in the pool! She had a great time. She woke up from her nap and wanted to do it again so off went the clothes and out she went :)

Boy, that wasn't as easy to do with only 1 word!

The universal word...

We use it for every thing.....seriously. Yesterday I counted how many times I used it as an adjective to describe a word that has NOTHING to do with the actual word......45 times!! Like food, Jayda eats PRINCESS FOOD, not just peas, but PRINCESS peas! I try really hard to not give into bribery when it comes to important daily matters so this is the only other option other than threatening her within an inch of her life!

How did I get so lucky?

Today is one of those days where all I can do is just wonder how I got so lucky. I have the best family and I am so blessed! None of us are perfect, but we are all perfect for each other. I love each and everyone of them with my whole heart...it's amazing how big it can get :)
