Oh 2010!

This is a little late (only 4 days) but HAPPY NEW YEARS!!

I am pretty excited about the new things that this year will bring, it's going to be a busy one! Daddy comes home, my baby turns 4, baby #3 will be making her arrival, Dallyn turns 2 and then at the end of the year Bryan will be going on shore duty. I cannot tell you how READY I am to have him home everyday. I am sure it will take a lot of getting used to but I'm ready. Although I am excited about all this, I'm starting to get very over whelmed (already). Half of that list is happening in 3 months, all within 2 weeks of each other. So now I am kicking my rear end in high gear so that I will have only a few things to do those last few weeks when I am the size of a house! Spring cleaning 9 months pregnant is NOT appealing to me...even adding in the nesting hormone! So now we are moving around Jayda's room and making room for Skylar. Last night we had a talk about where she would sleep and Jayda tried SO hard to talk me into letting Skylar sleep in Jayda's bed. No thanks, lol. I'm really glad she is excited, Dallyn is still too young to have any idea about what's happening. All he knows is that he has a bunch of boxes in his bedroom tonight that make a really loud sound when you smack them.

Resolutions are out the window this year for me. Normally I don't get too worked up over them. I always felt that if it's something that you only are motivated enough to change at the first of the year then it's pretty likely not high enough on your priority list to happen year round. That being said, this year I want to be happier, which I have been trying to do since July, lol. I like to think I am normally a pretty happy person but there is something about being pregnant, and then having a newborn and post pardum body that really gets me down and grouchy! My only goal this year is to take pictures of all THREE kids and just enjoy having my family together. Tomorrow is Bryan's deployment halfway mark...we're almost there! I'm happier already :)

4 year olds and a camera....

Jayda and her cousin, Jillian, had a blast taking pictures on Christmas Eve. We were getting ready to go somewhere and so we just let them snap away. What a crack up some of these pictures are!!

Christmas

Christmas was different this year, amazing, but very different. Every year past has been very low key, just Bryan and I in our own home just enjoying our kids and a little bit of food. This year was our first year spending it in Wyoming since before Jayda was born, it was so fun to have it in the home I spent so many in! And I have to say that my family really stepped up and helped make it amazing for my kids. I put so much pressure on myself with Bryan being gone, I think that subconsiously I was making sure I was doing enough for both him and I. I am pretty sure that without my family I would have been miserable...especially my little sissy who helped keep me really busy and happy :) I know I say this a lot but I am so lucky, my family is amazing and I am so happy to be a part of them. My poor mom got the stomach flu on christmas (from us, I am still feeling guilty. But it's not like I licked her eyeball or anything...) and she still woke up and spent time with us even though I KNOW she felt like dying! All 3 of us love you guys more than you will ever know, thank you for making this christmas memorable because of love and not because Bryan was gone :)

Jayda and Grandpa leaving Santa cookies...I think Jayda might have eaten a few :)

Jayda and Sage Christmas morning!

Dallyn was really into the fact that he got a sucker for breakfast, lol

Mommy is so happy

Because while we were in Wyoming.....DALLYN LEARNED TO USE A SPOON AND A PLATE/BOWL. He still has a hard time resisting the urge to throw it but it looks like we are almost in the clear! It's crazy how different my children are! Jayda was eating cereal and milk out of a bowl every morning by his age and he has just finally realized that they aren't to put on top of your head or drop on the dog. Whew.

Baby Shower!

My awesome little sister and mommy planned a baby shower while I was home for baby #3....it was so much fun. We ended up having 8 little kids in my mom's house plus all the grownups, which isn't the biggest living room ever! It was a blast though and so fun to see all the people I don't normally get to see altogether! Baby Skylar (which is the decided name for #3) is definitely set. We got all kinds of little pink things. I'm pretty sure my favorite was an animal paci.....I'm hoping she is NOT like her brother but more like Jayda and really digs a paci!! If only for her mommy's sanity :)

Me and my babies!

The bib says "I'm here to annoy my brother!" LOL!

We are back!

After spending an amazing month in Wyoming with my family, we are finally back in San Diego! The kids did great on the 21 hour trip, hardly any crying and were so patient about waiting to stop. I'm one lucky momma! Boy does it ever feel good to walk around in a t-shirt again! I'm missing my family and hometown like crazy but definitely not the -30 degree weather! We did a lot of fun things, so be ready for my catch up posts! I am so thankful to have such an amazing family, it kills me to come back every single time. There is really something to be said about people who LIKE to change your child, bath and feed them, haha.
